"Benediction" has been added to 1120's new compilation CD due out in September! It will feature such bands as Title Fight, Monarch, JD Walker, and many more. This is a little different for us as many of the bands we're feature with are a bit on the harder side. If you like that sort of thing, though, you're going to love this CD! We'll be giving you more details as they become available.

Well, we've gotten back from recording in Nashville, and we have to say this CD is really sounding incredible! The songs have taken a new shape, and our sound as a band has come into an exciting new stage. There were some changes to the song lineup - we've swapped in fan favorites "One Man War" and "If You Only Knew..." and there will be not only one, but two bonus acoustic/piano tracks on the CD! The release date hasn't been set yet, but we will have song samples in the coming months for you to hear. Be sure to let us know what you think!

Hey, everyone! Sorry it's been so long without an update. Despite current rumors, Angels Wake has not broken up. Quite the contrary - we are still going to Nashville and the EP will be recorded as scheduled. We are, however, in the process of looking for a new Lead Guitarist. Rob has decided to move on to other things, and we hope the best for him.
We are excited about all the great things happening. In June, we will be playing with John Reuben at the 4:12 Fest, as well as with Kids In The Way at the JC Jam in New York. We have a lot of other shows coming up, too, so keep watching the website and come hang out with us!
We are also pleased to announce that two Angels Wake songs, "Benediction" and "Going Home", will be featured on the "Sheltered In Love" compilation CD put out by Subway Records. The CD will be released in October of this year. All proceeds go to benefit Covenant House charities.
Remember to stay tuned right here for official news and updates. Take care, and we hope to see you at some of our upcoming shows!

Many of you have been asking us what's going on regarding the Indie Heaven voting/compilation CD. The good news is, we have the answers for you. The bad news is, you're probably not going to like them. Before we get into what happened, let me first say that you guys have been amazingly supportive. So supportive, in fact, that we broke into the top ten, and as of this news posting still reside at number 9 on the charts. Technically speaking, we would have "won" and gotten on the mix CD. However, the rules for the contest changed per an E-mail we got yesterday morning (when the contest was supposed to have ended). The powers that be decided to extend the deadline to the 31st of December due to high volume of traffic on the site and positive response from the visitors. You guys have been awesome, sticking with this for a month, and we understand the frustration that many of you have expressed. Your efforts did not go unnoticed on the part of the band, and it does mean a lot to us that you made such a concentrated effort on our behalf. Many of you feel that technically speaking, we "won", and that is totally thanks to you guys. The fact is, however, that the contest is still going on, and will do so through December 31st. While we're disheartened that we were put in a position to disappoint you guys, we are still asking for your votes and support through December 31st. We realize it's a long way off, especially with the holidays coming up, but we're sure that we can break through with your support. Who knows? We might even get to number 1! And to top it all off, you guys get to be exposed to some great new artists through Indie Heaven. So keep voting, keep coming to shows, and keep being awesome. Thanks again, guys.

We have just learned that a landmark of the New York City music scene, CBGBs, is being forced to close it's doors at the end of August. After 31 years of historic rock, their landlord wants to kick them out for reasons that are questionable at best. For those of you who are not familiar with it, this venue has been hailed as the birthplace of punk music. Such greats as The Ramones, Television, Blondie, and countless other musically significant bands have frequented the venue. I myself have seen several great shows there in recent years. I strongly enourage you guys to sign the petition to keep CBGB's open. If you're able to, throw a little support their way. Every little bit helps. Whatever money they get above and beyond their needs will go to help the city's homeless - so either way you're helping a good cause. And if you're in NY and have a chance, be sure to catch a show there. It really is a very cool place. Thanks for listening.

As many of you know by now, Philly's last remaining modern rock station,Y100, has gone off the air. The parent company's decision to pull the plug has created a void in the Philly rock scene and destroyed a big part of our local culture in the process. Philly is now the only major city in America without a modern rock station. We love going to rock shows - but how many shows do you think will be coming to Philly now that their promotion is so limited? We understand the industry, and know that this was a business decision. However, we feel this is flagrant corporate irresponsiblity that leaves thousands of rock fans in the cold and will negatively impact our local area. We would like to voice our support for Y100, and encourage all of you to sign the petition to bring rock back to Philly. 50,000 people have already done so. Also, please check out www.y100rocks.com to find out about getting involved in the protests and other events. The only thing we ask is that you conduct your protests in a law abiding and respectful manner - this is a passionate subject, but we won't help anything by losing our cool. Thanks for listening. Take care, and we'll see you at the next show.

"...being
confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work
in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ..."
Philippians 1:6
We are excited
about everything God has been doing in our lives. We have seen
His faithfulness as He has led us through some difficult places
in our growth as Believers and as a band. He is unchanging in
the midst of all the changes and uncertainties we face. We praise
Him for His continued work in us, and our prayer as we move forward
is that we will learn to be more like Christ.
"Behold,
I send an Angel before you to keep you in the Way and to bring
you into the place which I have prepared." Exodus 23:20
